Literally down the street from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, the Historic Madison Hotel provides guests with a cozy historic feel while not breaking the bank while visiting Yellowstone. Originally built in 1912, the Historic Madison Hotel is the only hotel left in West Yellowstone from the early days of Yellowstone tourism. There are room types available for all sorts of travelers ranging from rooms with or without a private bath on the second floor of the hotel to ground-floor rooms in a separate motel section with more modern amenities and room sizes to fit larger families. While the second-floor hotel rooms have limited amenities, there is WiFi service in all rooms and there is 24-hour access to a common area with HD TV, a microwave, and a fridge. The ground floor motel rooms not only offer WiFi service but also have HD Direct TV, a mini-fridge, and a microwave in each room.
The Historic Madison Hotel has an on-site gift shop with knowledgeable staff eager to help you leave Yellowstone with souvenirs, apparel, and unique/custom items. Before and after your daily exploration of Yellowstone, the cafe next door features a variety of homemade and traditional menu items. And residing in the heart of the little town of West Yellowstone, guests will be just a short stroll from other restaurants, shops, and attractions.
