Yellowstone Big Rock Inn
Ok, but not worth the price

Actually, in our month long vacation, this is the most expensive hotel we have. It is a big room with big balcony but not worth $252/night. You are convenient to downtown but there isn't much shopping there. If you're visiting Yellowstone, just plan for another town.

Room was clean and smelled nice. Had mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot in room. Loved having room on ground floor. Checkin was easy and lady was friendly and gave suggestions for dinner. If in the area again would definitely stay there.
Great Hotel Choice in Gardiner

The room was clean and well furnished, with more kitchen supplies than we expected. The best part of our stay was the incredible view! We sat on the balcony for breakfast each morning and drinks in the evening, just to relax and enjoy the mountain view, spotting wildlife through binoculars, and even a few elk in our parking lot each morning! The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere we needed to in Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone was right on the edge of town.

Good Location

Needless to say, I did not have a very good night's sleep. The hotel/room was clean but the lighting was poor and bed wasn't the most comfortable. Staff was friendly during check in. The location is great. It is a couple minute drive from town where there are shops and places to eat. The Roosevelt Arch and the Northern Entrance to Yellowstone is also less than a 5 minute drive. I saw Elk at the Gardiner Baptist Church which is right next to the hotel. You can also walk to a few restaurants and a grocery store. I booked through a 3rd party website and the price was incorrect- I owed more. It was frustrating because staff said this was a reoccurring problem but they hadn't reached out to the company. I would go back only because of the location.
