We were there to travel Glacier National Park and I think everyone there was doing the same thing! it was fun to trade stories of what all of did in the park and what we saw. the front desk was incredible and we will definitely come back and recommend! Also, the front desk has bear spray that hikers have left there as u cannot take it on the plane. we were able to get a can and thank God we didn't need to use it and turned backed in for the next traveler! the huge fireplace room is amazing. we sat there and relaxed with a couple drinks and mingled. we traveled northern Idaho and western Montana and this lodge was our FAVORITE! The rates were excellent for this budget minded couple! THANK YOU for fond memories!

We visited with our family of 4 in August 2024 and kids LOVED this lodge, the hot tub, the amazing fireplace in the lobby, the GAMES on the bookshelf (National Park monopoly!!! cards and backgammon :-)
Beds very comfortable, plenty of pillows and fridge in room.
staff was great!
amazing variety with the continental breakfast and hot tea/ hot coffee was always available.
Hot tub and steam room, exercise room was a huge plus.
Our favorite restaurant was close by - "Last Chair Restaurant" wow!
Whitefish was an amazing town to explore (15 minutes away) and Glacier an easy 40-45 minute drive for hikes.
Rodeo in Columbia Falls.
we will definitely be coming back!

Nice Experience at the Kandahar Lodge

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location worked well for the various activities we had planned. We found the continental breakfast to be better than at most hotels, and while the dining area is on the small side, guests can take their breakfast into the larger common area.
I saw several reviews with negative comments about the need for stairs in order to access all guestrooms. While it may be unusual, this information is on their website - they're not trying to hide it. They also asked us multiple times when checking in if we needed assistance with our bags. I completely understand that not everyone can navigate stairs and just wanted to point out that we didn't feel they were trying to pull the wool over our eyes in any way.
While we didn't have the need to interact with the staff too much, anyone we did come into contact with was very helpful. And shout out to the folks who worked the breakfast area - they did an awesome job of keeping everything stocked and were very pleasant every morning.

Wonderful stay!

The hotel is rustic and cozy with lots of wood finishes and a massive fireplace in the large lobby, The breakfast area was small but had a nice selection of items. The only thing we would have liked were cereal options that weren't sweet. Our room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Lovely fireplace surrounded by cozy seating in commons area. Clean rooms with extremely comfortable bedding. Only suggestion I'd make to the property's owners is that they pave the overflow parking lot across the street.
