It was a steal price-wise as we went during off-season. The staff was lovely. The firepits were going in the evening and the morning, and they gave us s'mores kits so we could make our own and chat with lots of other guests. This is the only place we'll stay in the Gardiner area in the future - we adored it!

Great place to stay when visiting the North end of Yellowstone National Park.

Facing the mountains, it went along with my planned vacation. A pleasant surprise was the use of Binoculars and Walking stick already in the room as well as the outdoor fire pit and s'mores kit. If I was spending more than one night, I definitely would have used them. The breakfast Buffet was plentiful but most of it I could not eat. :( Needed more protein, less carbs. I wasn't there for any other meals to compare but the restaurant is close enough to see first before choosing whether to stay to eat. I chose this hotel because it was closest to the North end of Yellowstone National Park which I was visiting that day and the price. It was more than I wanted to spend for just one night but less expensive than the surrounding hotels. I would definitely recommend for more than one night because of it's location to the park.

It was clean, perfectly decorated and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed. The view from the top balcony was beautiful. The staff was very nice. Cindy at the front desk and Jesse who helped us with our luggage and gave recommendations on places to go. We stayed only 1 night and wished it was longer.

Ideal Hotel And Location For Visiting Yellowstone NP

Our room was in the main hotel and was modern and very spacious. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a nice touch was the binoculars and walking stick that were included.
There were fire pits near the reception with marshmallows for toasting and a nice covered pool and hot tub although we didn't have time to use any of these facilities.
The hotel does not provide breakfast but they have coffee available all the time in reception and the nearby shop sells warm pastries each morning.
We also walked across the road to the bar/restaurant in another hotel for an evening meal.
I would stay at this hotel again. It's in an ideal location for visiting Yellowstone and it's very clean and comfortable with the benefit of a selection of shops and places to eat nearby.

Published Date: Sep, 23, 2024 Travel Date: Sep, 1, 2024 Rating: 2 Havina an impressive website (and reviews), my wife and I looked forward to a afternoon and evening at Ridgeline in Gardiner, before exploring Yellowstone. We booked the only king room available, 2 months in advance.
Positives:
- great location
- clean sheets
- nice tv
Negatives:
- dirty/worn carpet
- hvac not working properly, and falling apart on front porch
- door lock not very secure
- general look of the room was very seedy, like a 1950s unkept motel. Definitely in need of maintenance.
There are more modern cabins available on the property, however this room felt out of place. For $300+ a night, not a good value among other offerings in town. Gardiner is a wonderful little town, and if you want to be happy with where you stay, book far in advance, and know exactly what room you're getting. It is quite possible that Ridgeline has better choices, but we don't know that
