This is a very old, very tired and dated Holiday Inn Express. It's dark and dingy and nothing like the IHG's that we stay at. The room was tiny and the cleaning standards are low. (The sheets were clean thankfully!) There are signs posted stating that they are updating the property but I saw no evidence of any work being done. Not sure this place is worthy of the IHG brand. The breakfast was surprisingly good and the attendant was very pleasant. We moved across the street to the Hampton Inn for our second night, it was only four bucks a night more and worth it.

Super good motel in Cortez, with many good qualities usually found only in more upscale and expensive lodging options. Older property, but with many pleasant amenities, including indoor pool and hot tub type spa bath. Comfortable beds. Pleasant continental breakfast, including eggs, bacon etc., included in your stay. Friendly and professional staff, night and day. And.. Plenty of varied dining choices in Cortez, from McD’s and Popeyes etc., up to the excellent Farm Bistro or Lizard Lounge in downtown Cortez just up the road. In nearby Dolores, just 10 miles north on the San Juan Skyway (SR 145), excellent new steakhouse called SteakOut, for lunch or dinner. This Holiday Inn Express is highly recommended.

Fourth time I've stayed here. I use the little gym in a separate building and they always keep it clean and ready to go. Solid continental breakfast, very friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed and chairs. A couple workstations are in a common area, with printers.

The hotel had a Mesa-Verde theme which was unique since I have not see a Holiday Inn Express do this before. The rooms also continued the lobby theme and were clean. Laundry services next door were a plus after a roadtrip. Candice, I hope I spelled it correctly, provided outstanding service to my family and I during our visit on September 4th! Someone gives this young woman a promotion!

Check in was easy and quick The room was decent sized and clean The room had a fridge and microwave and a big TV the AC worked well and wasn't too loud The sliding glass door had a broken lock, but only spiderman could climb up there so I guess not a big deal. The bath was decent size and clean The shower was somewhat hard to get a constant temp. not sure if diverter was broken or what. The bed was somewhat old and the mattress was a bit saggy in the middle. There were outlets on both sides of bed they had a gym but it was across the parking lot. it was actually pretty decent with free weights and a few machines. They had a pool which I didnt use Sleep quality was good Breakfast was good Overall a slightly worn but mostly comfortable holiday Inn
