We stayed here last weekend when visiting West Yellowstone for a snow mobiling tour. Cory was super helping prior to booking and helped us when we arrived. He gave us a tour and answered questions we had about dinner and other recommendations in the area which was super helpful. Our room was great, very clean, bed was comfortable and we had a great stay. Breakfast was included and was so good! This place is just off the beaten path but close enough to walk to restaurants and other places if you want to. Golden Stone is a nice alternative to some of the biggest chain hotels. We learned about this option on trip advisor and are so glad we booked here. Would definitely stay here if we're ever back in the area and would highly recommend!

Boutique Hotel Service (but, budget- and family-friendly!)

We made a last minute detour to Yellowstone after skiing in Big Sky and booked the Golden Stone Inn on a whim. Amazing experience from the moment we walked in the door. Rooms are clean, nicely designed and spacious. Warm, freshly-baked cookies upon arrival. Great common area with board games, puzzles, books, tunes, etc... Enjoyed a delicious, homemade breakfast before our long day in Yellowstone. Cory even brought sleds over for the kids to go down the big hill in the town -- one of their favorite experiences the whole trip. Everything was above and beyond and made us feel so very welcome.

100% recommend Golden Stone Inn cabins. The experience from before we left to heat there to after we left was excellent. Nicely built, decorated, the GM was excellent as well as his staff. Very accommodating and provided a great option for Thanksgiving dinner. A 2-3 minute walk to get to the nordic trails so perfect spot.

One of our favorites for a winter getaway. We live about 3 hours from West Yellowstone and like to cross country ski and snowshoe. So, we do weekends two nights leave on Sunday usually. They are pet friendly as we like to bring our dogs. The location is great. We usually do the boundary line trail or walk into the park on the main road for a bit. There is another trail about midway up the boundary line road. Then hit the Madison Lounge restaurant for dinner, not cheap but great staff and food. The flank steak meal is wonderful. On Sunday, we will hit Bullwinkles (the bar area) and watch some football and have a hot buttered rum. The dogs love it. Makes for a great mid winter getaway. We usually do another weekend up in Gardener (Gateway Inn) as we can cross the park and go to Cooke City and see the wildlife in the Lamar Valley. If you snowmobile, West Yellowstone is a great place as is Cooke City both for rentals.

If you are headed to Yellowstone do yourself a favor and make The Golden Stone Inn your home base! Cory and his staff go way above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The cabins are very roomy and feel like a little home away from home. Cory cooks breakfast every morning, answers questions, makes suggestions, lights fire pits at night and brings out s’more fixings, then takes time to sit around the fire and get to know his guests. By the time we left, we felt like we had been staying with friends instead of staying at an inn.
