Kachina Lodge

The Kachina Lodge is centrally located between Bright Angel Lodge and El Tovar Hotel right along the edge of the Grand Canyon Rim. The rooms at Kachina Lodge each have either two queen beds or one king bed. Many of the rooms have a partial canyon view, and all rooms include in-room coffee, television, telephone, refrigerator, safe, and full bath. All rooms are non-smoking.

The rooms at Kachina Lodge are a good match for families and are within easy walking distance of dining facilities at El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge. There are also several rooms for people with physical disabilities. There's no air-conditioning, but evaporative coolers keep the heat at bay. Grand Canyon Village is on the South Rim and is the hub of activity for canyon visitors. Museums, gift shops, restaurants, mule rides, train rides and other activities are clustered here as well. Sight seeing tours, bicycling excursions, HarveyCar tours and helicopter tours are just a few of the activities available to you in the area. Spectacular canyon views bring visitors back each year. The South Rim of the park is open all year. Each magical season has its own mood, ambiance and activities to enjoy.

In the spring enjoy colorful wildflowers that bloom as early as March. Warm summer days are busy with excitement as people from every corner of the earth visit the Grand Canyon. Warm temperatures continue well into fall, but nights are cooler. Remember whenever you visit, to wear layered clothing, bring plenty of water and solid walking shoes. The best way to enjoy our national parks is by following the rules laid out for their preservations and your safety.
